Morse & Son, Boston, Mass., "No. 69" style marine clock, round bronze case with mounting flange, 8 inch Arabic numeral silvered dial, blued steel spade hands, signed, 8 day brass timepiece with lever platform, scraped, lacquered plates and dust shields, movement #23, dial #12897
CONDITION:
case dirty, dial polished, probably resilvered, hands good, with minor oxide, movement in very good condition, with scraping and original lacquer intact, bottom dust shield replaced, running. Andrew J. Morse & Co. were manufacturers of diving helmets and related equipment in Boston, Mass., Mass. as early as 1837. The company changed its name to A.J. Morse & Son in 1864.
